Some kids grow up catching frogs and doing ballet, but you were more likely to find me playing in the kitchen, elbow deep in flour and sugar. I have been baking longer than I can remember and can't think of many things I enjoy more.
I fell in love with the art of decorating at a young age watching my mom take tiers and tiers of plain cake and turn them into a masterpiece of fluffy white flowers and design. After college, and a career in public relations and advertising, I began tinkering with the idea of opening The SweetSide. A few years later, I have studied at the amazing Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts in Toronto and cannot imagine a career in anything else. I would love to sit down with you, eat cake, and create a design that you will love!
